January 14th was the second running of the Swampstomper 25/50k ultra run on the trails at Shelby Forest. The weather was in the high 50's with a light rain for the duration of the race. John Scheidhauer ended up in 6th place overall in the 50k with a time of 5:33:56. Chris Irving entered the 25k division and was 9th male at 2:58:33. Congratulations to the Run the Trail guys and gals for putting on a great race. They had the lodge at the group camp reserved with a nice warm fireplace and hot chili after the race. The finishing touch was the nice hand made finishing award shown below
