TBRA Legend of Stanky Creek Time Trial and Cross Country race
A light rain fell the morning of the inaugural Stanky Creek time trial which ran on the yellow trail at Stanky Creek. Traction was at a premium as were bike handling skills. John Scheidhauer survived a huge jump over the first "tree bridge" to hold on and take first place overall and first in the expert 40-49 with a time of 12:18. Chris Irving despite hitting a few trees late in the race came in at 2nd overall (12:40) and 2nd in the 40-49 expert class. Third overall in the expert class was John Heeren also 40-49 expert. Way to show the younger guys how to do it!!!
In the Cross Country race John Scheidhauer won the Single Speed class by 3:14, despite breaking his chain at the bridge and running up the hill to the finish. Chris Irving led the expert race for a lap and a half before finishing 2nd in the 40-49 expert and 3rd overall. John Schmidt held on to a 5th in the 40-49 sport class while Bryan Marshall was 4th in Single Speed
