Torrential rains dumped a couple of inches on the Stanky Creek trails hours before the start of the 12 Hours Of Stank race in September of 2001. The creek crossing had four feet of rapidly flowing water, making it impassable. With ever present threat of more rain and the potential damage to the trail the race was postponed until November 3, 2001.This was the last 12 hour that MRC put on. We refunded entry fees back to numourous teams and did not get much of a turnout for the rescheduled race.
